Documentary filmmaker Behzad Adib meets Montrealers from the Arab world to discuss their background and reality while sharing their impressions of their host country. He himself of Iranian origin, he finds that his story is nothing original and that the quest for a better that the men and women encountered dream of is often faced with the harsh reality of immigration. Nostalgia for an idealized past, homesickness and lack of recognition are demons often difficult to overcome, and to achieve this, we must arm ourselves with patience and stand together to succeed in taking root in our new life.
