In July 2017, six people and over 1,500 pounds of equipment were airborne in the heart of the Ungava Peninsula. After two years of preparation, they found themselves travelling in a powerful tundra; the conditions were hostile, the North was majestic, the experience was striking.
François Léger-Savard was active from the start, planning and documenting the adventure. His images provide an intimate look at the experience, the territory traveled, and the different encounters made.
A documentary is coming up, titled "Tracing a Path".
